ArmInfo. Armenia is going to join the Agreement on the Establishment of the International Transport and  Transit Corridor between the Governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Sultanate of Oman, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan (Ashgabat Agreement). This, as stated in the Cabinet decision of May 8, will create new opportunities for integration into the transport corridor between the Central Asian countries and the ports of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman and the use of the transport and transit potential of the participating states.

ArmInfo.  At the initiative of the Deputy Chairperson of the RA National Assembly Committee on European Integration Meri Galstyan, working discussions were held with the RA  Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure  Armen Simonyan and representatives of the ministry's staff, during which the main attention was paid to the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the European Union, in particular, in the area of energy and transport reforms.

ArmInfo.In 2026, the government plans to increase the  funding for the modernization of water supply  and drainage systems in Armenian cities. This was stated by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia David Khudatyan during the government hour, when responding to a  question from parliamentarians about the recent flooding in Yerevan due to heavy rain, which affected several streets and a metro station.

ArmInfo.n Q1 2025, Armenia's  trade sector revenue slowed in annual growth from 26.5% to 6%,  amounting to 1.31 trillion drams ($3.4 billion). According to  data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, in March of this year, trade turnover in Armenia increased by 16.9%, reaching  521 billion drams ($1.3 billion).

ArmInfo.  The natural population growth rate in Armenia continues to decline significantly. This is evidenced by data from the RA Statistical Committee.  In particular, in the first quarter of 2025, 7,302 children were born in the country, which is 8.8% lower than the previous year. The birth rate per 1,000 inhabitants for the reporting period was 9.6 per mille, compared to 10.8 per mille a year earlier.
