ArmInfo.  The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) jointly with the World Association of PPP Units & Professionals EECA Chapter  (WAPPP) conducted a webinar on the materials of the EDB cross-country review dedicated to  recent developments in public-private partnership (PPP) legislation in  EDB member countries. ArmInfo. The changes at Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC owned by Russian businessman Samvel Karapetyan, began about a year ago, with hearings  held in the National Assembly, leading to  the dismissal of several officials were dismissed from their positions, as stated by Romanos Petrosyan,  the acting manager of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC, in a  conversation with journalists. On his first day at work he arrived  late and with an entourage. "This process began about a year ago,  when the previous chairman of the regulatory commission left his post  at the start of his second term.  Additionally,  about eight months  ago, the deputy head of the MTAI responsible for the energy sector  was also dismissed," the acting manager of Elnets mentioned.

This is evident  in the 29%  annual increase in the loan portfolio  reaching  6.9 trillion ($18 billion) and the total net profit of banks rising  17% per annually to 200.7 billion drams ($522 million), according to  data from  the Express Ranking of Armenian Banks as of 30.06.2025,  prepared by the Investment Company ArmInfo.

ArmInfo. In the Armenian interbank foreign exchange market,  there was a decrease in both dollar and ruble transactions from July 14 to July 18, 2025. Euro transactions have not been conducted for almost two months. Specifically, the weekly trend for ruble transactions reversed from a 2-fold increase to a 34% decline, while the decrease in dollar transactions accelerated from 40% to 73%. This led  to ruble transactions surpassing dollar transactions for the second week in a row, with the difference now  being 2.5 times compared to  the previous 1.1 times.

Economist and head of the Alternative Research Center, Professor Tatul Manaseryan stated this during a press conference on July 18.
