Armenia`s financial authorities revise GDP growth down

ArmInfo. The Armenian Ministry of Finance has once again lowered its GDP growth expectations for 2024 - from 5.8% to 5-5.5%. This was announced by Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan at a final press conference on December 25. Meanwhile, the approved budget for the current year envisaged the  figure at 7%, and in September the forecast was revised to 5.8%. 

135 applications for comunity programmes worth over AMD 50bln  submitted for coming year

Armenian budget revenue 9.6% up in Jan-Nov 2024 as compared with  Jan-Nov 2023

ArmInfo. In January-November 2024, the revenues of the state treasury of Armenia amounted to 2 trillion 268.9 billion drams. Compared to the same period last year, the figure increased by 9.6% or 199.2 billion drams. This is stated in the information bulletin of the RA Ministry of Finance on the  execution of the state budget for 11 months.

Armenia reduces natural gas imports from Russia by 13% in first half  2024

ArmInfo. In the first half of 2024, Armenia reduced its natural gas imports by 8.5% to 1,354,211 cubic meters, with a decrease in customs value by 8.3% to $233.9 million. According to the data of the RA Customs Service, 83.3% of  natural gas was supplied to Armenia from Russia.

Armenia imports wheat from Russia

ArmInfo. Russia remains the main supplier of wheat, wheat flour and corn to Armenia. According to the Customs Service, in the first half of 2024, Armenia purchased the entire volume of imported wheat - 134 thousand tons - from Russia. Compared to the same period last year, supply volumes decreased by 23%.
