PSRC decision to reduce fees for new subscribers comes into effect

ArmInfo. The Public Services Regulatory Commission's decision to reduce grid connection fees officially comes into force today, April 27. The new regulations will see fees for connecting new consumer systems to the distribution network drop by up to 40%, while charges for increasing grid capacity or adding new capacity will be slashed by up to 55%. The announcement was made  by the Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC.

ArmInfo.The "Big Four" telecom operators collectively contributed 9.7 billion AMD to the state budget, marking a robust 29.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Of this amount, 34.7 million drams were paid in  customs duties, 2.3 billion in direct taxes (including corporate income tax), and 4.3 billion in VAT,  according to data from the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

According to preliminary  data from the RA Statistics Committee, there was also an improvement  in foreign trade dynamics, with a significant recession giving way to  moderate growth.

ArmInfo.  From April 20 to 23, 2026,  Armenia's interbank foreign exchange market  saw a continued rise in dollar transactions, while ruble transactions  continued to decline. Euro transactions haven't been conducted for  two consecutive months. Specifically, the growth of dollar  transactions slowed from a 5.1 fold increase to 54%, while the  decline in ruble transactions slowed from 19% to 8%.

ArmInfo. Armenia's top 5 largest taxpayers paid 76.3 billion drams, or $202 million, to the state budget in the first quarter of 2026, marking a 23% year-on-year increase. Of this amount, 1.98 billion drams (a 5-fold increase) were  paid in customs duties, 12.6 billion in direct taxes (an almost 11-fold increase), and 48.8 billion in indirect taxes (a 31-fold increase), according to the RA State Revenue Committee's list of 1,000 large taxpayers.
