ArmInfo. Before 2025, when the turnover tax for small businesses was 5%, many companies reached the 120 million AMD ceiling and chose to stop growing.   Businesses often intentionally "marked time," or underreported their  actual turnover to avoid transitioning into a higher tax bracket, as  stated by Aghasi Tavadyan, an economist and Associate Professor at  the Armenian State University of Economics, in an interview with  ArmInfo,  shareing his concerns regarding the economic proposal by  Samvel Karapetyan to exempt small businesses from the tax burden.

ArmInfo.  Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and Executive Director of  Corporacion America S.A. Martin Eurnekian have signed the fifth  amendment to the concession agreement for the management of Zvartnots  International Airport in Yerevan. The primary highlight of the  document is a significant extension of the management term. Under the  new terms the concession period is extended by more than 40 years.  The agreement will now remain in effect until December 31, 2067.

ArmInfo.  The arbitration panel formed to consider the investment dispute regarding the  expropriation of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) company has  confirmed the binding force of the emergency arbitrator's decision,  as noted in a statement issued by the Defense Council for Samvel  Karapetyan, head of the Tashir Group of companies.

As a reminder, during the  44 days of Artsakh's war against Azerbaijani- Turkish aggression,  Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan has been  broadcasting daily operational updates from the front and answering  journalists' questions, declaring "we will win."

ArmInfo. The Stockholm Arbitration Tribunal has completely dismissed the claims filed by the Karapetyan family in the Electric Networks of Armenia case, the Armenian government's press service reported.

ArmInfo.  Sitronics Group, a leading Russian company, has assumed control of the Yerevan Research Institute of Mathematical Machines (ERIMM). The transaction took place on January 19 of this year, according to data from the State Register of Legal  Entities of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. One of the major gas station chains, which also purchased Azerbaijani petroleum products, will begin selling this fuel at low prices in the coming  days.  Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced this on his Facebook  page.

According to him,  there  are currently 67 organizations in the country implementing  approximately 80 distinct R&D projects.
