ArmInfo. As the situation in the Middle East worsened, there was an outflow of international investors from emerging markets. However,  there was no  capital outflow in Armenia, as stated by Armen Nurbekyan, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, speaking at the opening of the Doing Digital forum.

ArmInfo.The State Revenue Committee of Armenia (SRC) is planning  to implement a smart customs administration system, that will enable a transition from linear risk management to a model based on machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), as stated by Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the SRC, speaking at the Doing Digital forum.

ArmInfo.The share of Armenia's top five trading partners-Russia, China, the UAE, Iran, and Germany-decreased in January-February 2026 to a combined 53% of total turnover (down from 64% in January-February 2024), reaching $1.6 billion in absolute terms.

Bulgarian Ambassador to Armenia Nikola Nikolov visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and met with its President Tsvetan Simeonov.  The meeting discussed issues related to the development of trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Armenia, as well as the potential for strengthening cooperation between the two chambers.

ArmInfo.  Armenia will soften its approach to initiating criminal cases against businesses for tax evasion. At its April 8 meeting, the RA National Assembly Committee  on Economic Affairs issued a positive opinion on the amendments to  the Tax Code submitted by the RA government.

This was announced on April 8 at a meeting of the RA National Assembly's Committee on  Economic Affairs by Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the RA State Revenue  Committee, who presented amendments to the Law "On Customs  Regulation" in the first reading.

ArmInfo. Armenia will revise VAT rules for gold and precious stone transactions. At its April 8 meeting, the RA National Assembly's Committee on Economic Affairs  approved the first reading of amendments to the Tax Code submitted by  the RA government.
