ArmInfo.  The United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) convened a high-level Ambassadorial Roundtable on the Trump Route for International Peace  and Prosperity (TRIPP), underscoring the initiative's role as a  central pillar of the United States' renewed strategic engagement  across Central Eurasia.

ArmInfo. Political scientist and energy security expert Vahe Davtyan has raised questions regarding the true origin of  a fuel shipment  that arrived  in Armenia from Azerbaijan last week.  According to him,  Azerbaijan  may actually be re-exporting a third-country gasoline to Armenia via  Georgia, gasoline that is imported to Armenia via the Black Sea or Upper Lars, and then through Georgian infrastructure. 

ArmInfo.During his speech at the expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St. Petersburg, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  once again thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev (Azerbaijan is not a member of the EAEU - ed.).  Note, that since October of this year, when Baku lifted restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia, Pashinyan has never missed an opportunity to express gratitude to Aliyev for this decision. Words of gratitude were also expressed on the sidelines of the EAEU on December 11.

ArmInfo.  The first robotic surgery was performed in Armenia yesterday. Armen Muradyan, Rector of Yerevan State Medical University, shared this information  on his Facebook page.

ArmInfo.  For many years, the World Bank has been not only a financial partner for the  Republic of Armenia, but also a reliable strategic partner in  structural reforms, infrastructure development, and strengthening the  country's institutional capacity, as stated yesterday by RA Minister  of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan  during a meeting with the newly appointed World Bank Country Manager  for Armenia, Fabrizio Zarcone.

ArmInfo. In the Armenian interbank foreign exchange market from December 15 to 19, 2025, there was a notable shift in currency transactions: dollar and ruble transactions decreased, while euro transactions reemerged after a seven month hiatus. Specifically, dollar transactions saw a reversal from a  3.2-fold increase to a 74.2% decline, while ruble transactions continued to decline, albeit at  a slower rate of 45.3% to 9.4%.

ArmInfo.  A train loaded with petroleum products has arrived in Armenia from Azerbaijan via Georgia.  "The peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, established by  the agreements reached in Washington, is yielding further results in  the promotion of economic cooperation," the Armenian Cabinet press  service noted, sharing the information.

ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan met with Olivier Decottignies,  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic  to Armenia, and a delegation led by Matthieu Vasseur, Regional  Director for Enlargement and European Neighborhood at the French  Development Agency (AFD).

ArmInfo.  Twenty-two railcars of A95 gasoline of Azerbaijani origin, totaling1,300 tons,  are currently crossing the Armenian-Georgian border. RA Economy  Minister Gevorg Papoyan shared this information  on his Facebook  page.

ArmInfo. The import of Azerbaijani fuel to Armenia is not just a transaction. It is a  symptom. It is a symptom of the fact that Armenian economy operates  without a political goal (or, even more frightening, with targeted  political leadership), without a national strategy for capital  development, and without responsibility for the broader context in  which the Armenian state exists, as stated by David Ananyan, former  head of the State Revenue Committee, former Deputy Minister of  Finance of Armenia, economist, and member of the "Wings of Unity"  political initiative.

ArmInfo.  From December 19 2025, Fly Kish Airlines started operating flights on the  route Tehran-Yerevan-Tehran, as reported by Armenia International  Airports CJSC.

ArmInfo. The slowdown in economic growth outside Armenia, in the CIS countries and trading partners, including Russia, is the main risk for the Armenian economy in the forecast for 2026-2028, according to analysts at the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).

ArmInfo.  A train carrying petroleum products is heading from Azerbaijan to Armenia,  but I don't know the exact volumes. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  made this statement  during a press- briefing on December 18.

ArmInfo.  Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan confirmed that Hungary has lifted  its veto on the decision to allocate 20 million euros to Armenia  within the framework of the European Peace Facility.

ArmInfo.  Relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan are currently at a very high level.  However, mutual trade volumes remain  insignificant, as stated by  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during  a press-briefing on  December 18.
