Expert casts doubt on origin of recent Azerbaijani gasoline import to  Armenia

Political scientist and energy security expert Vahe Davtyan has raised questions regarding the true origin of  a fuel shipment  that arrived  in Armenia from Azerbaijan last week.  According to him,  Azerbaijan  may actually be re-exporting a third-country gasoline to Armenia via  Georgia, gasoline that is imported to Armenia via the Black Sea or Upper Lars, and then through Georgian infrastructure. 

Pashinyan one again thanked Aliyev at EAEU Supreme Council meeting

ArmInfo.During his speech at the expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St. Petersburg, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  once again thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev (Azerbaijan is not a member of the EAEU - ed.).  Note, that since October of this year, when Baku lifted restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia, Pashinyan has never missed an opportunity to express gratitude to Aliyev for this decision. Words of gratitude were also expressed on the sidelines of the EAEU on December 11.

ArmInfo. In the Armenian interbank foreign exchange market from December 15 to 19, 2025, there was a notable shift in currency transactions: dollar and ruble transactions decreased, while euro transactions reemerged after a seven month hiatus. Specifically, dollar transactions saw a reversal from a  3.2-fold increase to a 74.2% decline, while ruble transactions continued to decline, albeit at  a slower rate of 45.3% to 9.4%.

ArmInfo.  A train loaded with petroleum products has arrived in Armenia from Azerbaijan via Georgia.  "The peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, established by  the agreements reached in Washington, is yielding further results in  the promotion of economic cooperation," the Armenian Cabinet press  service noted, sharing the information.
