With its new forecast for 2022, the Central Bank of Armenia,, further reduced the decline in net inflow of transfers (including income of seasonal  workers and private transfers) from the previous 13% to 7% (against  an actual 54% growth in 2021), based on estimates of more positive  changes in the Russian economy, the projected decline of which is  reduced from the previously expected 7.4%).

The Central Bank of Armenia forecasts a slowdown in GDP growth in 2022-2023 from 12.9% to 4.4%, and a decrease in inflation from 10.3% to the target 4%.  This  is noted in the Monetary Policy Program (MPP) of the Central Bank for  the third quarter of 2022, published at the end of September.

ArmInfo.The Armenian authorities' intention to construct a new, 1,200 MW, nuclear power unit is erroneous and a direct threat to Armenia's energy security,  Edvard Arzumanyan, former deputy minister of energy of Armenia, said  in an interview with ArmInfo.

ArmInfo.On September 26, the 3rd session of the Geographical Indications sub-committee, operating under the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement  (CEPA) between Armenia and the European Union, took place online. ArmInfo. Despite the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan on the sovereign territory of  Armenia since September 13, the growth of the Armenian economy by the  end of 2022 may almost double the 7 percent figure envisaged by the  state budget.

ArmInfo.The growth of Armenia's economic activity in January-August 2021 accelerated to 13.9% per annum (from 4.9% a year earlier), accompanied by high  growth in exports and imports. From August this year to August 2021,  economic activity accelerated growth to 18.5% (from 2.3% a year  earlier), while on a monthly terms it continued to slow down growth  from July 8.5% to August 1.5%, which was also observed in 2021 - from  July 7.5%to August 2.1%.
