ArmInfo. Armenian trade sector in January-February 2022 increased revenue by 8.2% per annum (against an 11.3% decline in the same period in 2021), providing a volume of
489.5 billion drams (over $1 billion). According to the RA
Statistical Committee, in February 2022 alone, the trade turnover in
Armenia increased by 11.9% - up to 258.6 billion drams ($538.6
million).

while the EU's share decreased from 20.3% to 18.3%. Moreover, Russia
continues to hold the lead not only in terms of the total volume of
foreign trade, but also in terms of exports and imports, having
increased its share in exports from 28.7% to 29.4% and in imports
from 33.4% to 35.7%.

ArmInfo.The volume of total foreign investment (all types and forms of investment - ed. note) in the real sector of the Armenian economy in 2021 increased by 54%
(against a 39% decline in 2020), reaching $ 2.8 billion. The share of
FDI in total foreign investment in 2021 accounted for 29% (against
26% in 2020) or $798 million, which is 71% higher than in 2020
(against a 21% decline in 2020). This is evidenced by the data of the
RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.In the consumer market of Armenia in Q1 2022, 3.5% inflation was recorded against last year's 3.8%. Inflation in Q1 2022 was mainly driven by a 5.8% increase in
food prices and a 2.3% increase in service tariffs, while non-food
prices rose by 1.3%.
