33 587 children were born in Armenia in 11 months

ArmInfo. In Armenia in January-November 2021, 33,587 children were born, which is 0.7% higher than a year ago, and in a two-year context, the growth was  1.9%. According to the RA Statistical Committee, the birth rate per  1000 inhabitants at the end of the reporting period amounted to 12.4  ppm, against 12.3 ppm in 2020 and 12.2 ppm in 2019.

ArmInfo.In Armenia, the service sector in January-November 2021 increased volumes by 7.3% (against a 13.6% decline a year earlier), exceeding 1.6 trillion  drams ($ 3.3 billion). According to the RA Statistical Committee,  this is due to the improvement in the dynamics of services provided  in almost all areas.

Trade sector in January-November increased turnover by 7.9% per annum

ArmInfo.The trade sector of Armenia increased its turnover in January-November 2021 against the same period of 2020 by 7.9% (against a decline of 13.5% a year  earlier), exceeding 2.9 trillion drams ($ 5.9 billion). According to  the RA Statistical Committee, in November 2021 alone, the trade  turnover in Armenia increased by 3.8%, amounting to 316.2 billion  drams ($ 662 million).

Telecommunications revenue of Armenia increased by 4.5% in 11 months

Armenia`s metallurgical industry accelerates y-o-y growth rate to  double digits

ArmInfo. Metallurgical industry of Armenia for 11 months of 2021 accelerated its y-o-y growth rate to 16.9% from 1.7% in the same period in 2020. According  to the data of the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia,  the improvement in dynamics is associated with a sharp increase in  the production of castings from unalloyed (carbon) steel, as well as  the continuing upward trend in the production of ferromolybdenum.

Electricity generation in Armenia decreased by 2% in 11 months

ArmInfo.Electricity generation in Armenia in January- November 2021 amounted to 6 848.4 million kWh, with a y-o-y decline of 2% (against an increase of 1.8%  a year earlier). This is evidenced by the data of the Statistical  Committee of the Republic of Armenia, according to which in November  alone, electricity generation increased by 17.6% - up to 685.2  million kWh.

Russia leads both in export and import in Armenia`s foreign trade  turnover

Russia holds the lead in Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January-November 2021with a volume of more than $ 2.3 billion, with a change in y-o-y dynamics from the 2.8% decline to 18.4% growth, which turned out to be higher  than the rates of the same period of 2019, when the 12.6% growth was  registered.

Manufacturing industry in Armenia has grown in 11 months

ArmInfo.The industrial sector of Armenia increased production in January-November 2021 by 2.7% (against a decline of 0.2% a year earlier), amounting to 2.1  trillion drams ($ 4.1 billion). As evidenced by the data of the  Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, such dynamics is  due to the improvement in the trend of the manufacturing industry -  with the exit from recession to growth, with a negligible recession  in the mining sector.

Economic activity up by 5.2% in Armenia in Jan-Nov 2021

ArmInfo.Last January-November saw 5.2% growth in economic activity in Armenia against 7.2% in the corresponding period 2020 and 7.5% in January-November 2019, along with two-digit growth in exports and imports. Much lower relevant  figures were recorded in the pre- COVID period, according to the  final data by the RA Statistical Committee.
