Economic growth down in Jan-Sept 2025

ArmInfo. In Armenia, economic activity growth slowed to 7.6% annually in January-September 2025 (from 8.7% in the same period of 2024). Moreover, the industrial sector, which was one of the growth drivers a year earlier, is  weakening the pace of economic growth with the current downturn.  According to the final data of the RA Statistics Committee, this is  accompanied by a deterioration in the foreign trade trend from  significant growth to a significant decline.

RA Anticorruption Committee to get more money in 2026

ArmInfo.  Budget allocations to the Anti-Corruption Committee in 2026 will amount to 3 billion 516.9 million drams, an increase of 1.5%, or 53.1 million drams, compared to 2025. Armenian Deputy Finance Minister Vahan Sirunyan announced this on November 5 at a joint session of parliamentary standing  committees during the discussion of the draft state budget for next  year.

New mechanisms to take effect on Armenia`s real estate market

ArmInfo.  In 2026, the budget of the Investigative Committee will increase by 1.2%, or 219.6 million drams, to 19 billion 205.8 million drams. Deputy Finance Minister Vahan Sirunyan announced this in parliament on November 5 during preliminary hearings of the draft state budget for next year.

At the same time, uncertainty  regarding future trends in domestic demand remains. In this situation, the impact of demand on inflation is still assessed as neutral, and current inflation dynamics are largely determined by certain supply-side factors, as stated by Central Bank Chairman Martin Galstyan on November 4, while presenting the rationale for the Central Bank Board's decision to maintain the refinancing rate at 6.75%.

In 2026, total funding for Ministry of Environment`s activities to be  15.4 billion drams

ArmInfo. In 2026, the total funding for 25 activities included within the six budget programs of the Ministry of Environment will be approximately 15.4  billion drams. This amount is 813 million drams more than the budget approved in 2025. Of the planned amount for 2026, approximately 2.4 billion drams are from international grants, and approximately 13 billion drams are allocations from the state budget, as stated by the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia, Hambardzum Matevosyan, during a meeting in the National Assembly.
