ArmInfo. A food surplus was registered for almost all groups of goods in the EAEU, with the exception of the only group - fruits and berries, where the deficit  was about 55%. Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Industry  and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission Artak Kamalyan ,  said this during a briefing in Yerevan, answering a question from an  ArmInfo correspondent.

Despite the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the amount of revenues to the state budget of Armenia in the first 9 months of this year amounted to 1 trillion 16.8 billion  drams against the programmed 916.7 billion drams and against 901.6  billion drams for the same period of 2019.  The State Revenue  Committee of Armenia (SRC) reports this.

According to WB new forecast for 2020, GDP decline in Armenia will be  6.3%

ArmInfo.  According to the new forecast of the World Bank for 2020, the decline in Armenia's GDP will be 6.3%, against the previously expected 2.8% and actual 7.6%  growth in 2019. In 2021, the WB expects Armenia's GDP to grow by  4.6%. This is noted in the WB report "Europe and  Central Asia  Economic Update" published on October 7, which indicates new  expectations for a decline in GDP in the ECA region in 2020 by 4.4%,  with growth in 2021 at 3.3 %.

Fitch forecast on Armenia: The state budget deficit and the general  public debt will increase, while the current account deficit will  decrease

ArmInfo.Fitch forecasts that the Armenian economy will contract by 6.2% this year, with 3.2% growth in 2021. This is noted in the report published  yesterday by  Fitch, which indicated that the agency now expects a weaker recovery  in external demand, including in the tourism sector, along with a  moderate slowdown from the curtailment of fiscal measures.

ArmInfo. Electricity generation in Armenia in January-August 2020 amounted to 5104.8 million kWh,  increased by 1.9% in y-o-y turns  (against the decline  by 3.5% a year earlier), and  in August  alone increased by 1.6% - up  to 656.4 million kWh.
