ArmInfo. The lifting of restrictions on goods transit through Azerbaijan to Armenia opens up additional opportunities to unlock the region's economic potential.
This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Shymkent.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, this is a clear example of how diversification of transport and logistics infrastructure contributes to the development of foreign trade.
Speaking about protecting domestic markets, Grigoryan emphasized that systematic monitoring allows not only for the prompt identification of emerging imbalances but also for the development of effective measures to protect the domestic market and support domestic producers. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that cooperation between the EAEU customs services, including on high-tech goods and customs duties, directly impacts the budget revenues of the Union member states. At the same time, the unification of national customs risk management systems must take into account the sovereign interests of the EAEU member states.
