ArmInfo. In October 2026, Wizz Air will increase the number of aircraft based in Yerevan to three and launch two new routes, once again confirming its long- term commitment to the country, as stated by Ian Malin, CFO of the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air, during a press conference on March 27.
Specifically, the new routes will include flights to Eindhoven (Netherlands), starting on October 26 this year, operating three times a week, and flights to Brussels (Belgium), starting on February 1, 2027, also three times a week. Ticket prices start at EUR 29.99.
"We' are planning to increase the frequency of flights on existing routes," Malin said. Specifically, flights to Budapest will run 2 to 4 times a week, to Paris 3 to 5 times, to Frankfurt 2 to 3 times, and to Prague 4 times a week, throughout the year. "This means we're increasing capacity by 20%, and we expect to serve 1 million passengers in 2026," Wizz Air's CFO said.
He noted that the addition of a third aircraft will be an important step in strengthening the airline's presence in Armenia and will contribute to the further development of Yerevan as a regional aviation hub.
Currently, Wizz Air operates flights from Armenia to 17 destinations in 10 countries. In 2025, the airline transported around 950,000 passengers to and from Armenia.
