The State Revenue Committee recalled the ban on the import of cash currency from the Russian Federation in excess of 1 million rubles into Armenia and other EAEU countries

ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee of Armenia (SRC) has issued a reminder about the ban on the export of cash currency from Russia to Armenia and other EAEU countries in amounts exceeding 1 million rubles. In addition to EAEU countries, the restrictions also apply to Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

The Committee urges citizens planning to export cash from Russia to familiarize themselves with the current rules and any exceptions in advance and to comply with the established requirements.

As a reminder, Russian President Vladimir Putin, by decree of September 29, tightened restrictions on the export of cash rubles from Russia.

According to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, published on the website for the publication of legal acts, citizens are prohibited from exporting more than 1 million rubles. To the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)—Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan—as well as to Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. For legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, the ban applies regardless of the amount.

An exception is provided if a citizen exports cash through government-designated international airports and can confirm the withdrawal of the entire amount with bank statements. Separate exceptions are also made for legal entities engaged in international transportation and supporting the operation of Russian diplomatic and consular offices.

Violating the ban will result in the confiscation of any amount exceeding 1 million rubles from an individual, and all cash exported from a legal entity or individual entrepreneur. The decree comes into force on the day of signing—September 29.
