ArmInfo. Despite investor interest in Armenia's hospitality sector, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) faces a shortage of well-prepared projects that could receive financing.

At its June 18 session, the National  Assembly of the Republic of Armenia will discuss in the first reading  amendments to the Law "On Investment Funds," proposed by the Armenian  government.

ArmInfo.  Armenia wants to fully clarify the Real Estate Cadastre by January 1, 2030. The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia will discuss amendments to the laws "On State Registration of Property Rights" and "On Urban Development" in the first reading at its plenary session on June 18.

ArmInfo.  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will attend the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). He announced this during a briefing on June 18, commenting at  journalists' request on his campaign promises to resolve all  problematic issues within the EAEU after the elections.

This was stated by Sergey Mkrtchyan, Director of the Armenian  Representative Office of the international logistics platform ATI.SU,  during the Logistics Development in Armenia conference held in  Yerevan.

ArmInfo.  For the first time, the institution of restructuring (bank resolution) of insolvent banks is being introduced in the Armenian banking system. At its June 18 session, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia discussed the draft law "On Bank Restructuring" and a large package of related documents submitted by the Armenian government in the first reading.

ArmInfo.The SCC Arbitration Institute, by a decision dated 16 June 2026, granted Armenia's request to bifurcate the proceedings in the arbitration  case of Liormand Holdings Limited and the Karapetyans v. Armenia.

ArmInfo.  Any action taken by the Armenian government against the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), a company owned by Samvel Karapetyan, including its direct nationalization, would violate the decisions made by the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal in July 2025, as noted in a statement issued by the ENA Control Committee,  following the Armenian government's  announcement that the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal had fully granted  Armenia's motion to bifurcate the proceedings in the arbitration case  of Liormand Holdings Limited and Karapetyans v. Armenia.

This perspective was shared on June 17 by Sergey Stanovkin, head of BBC's commercial offices in Eurasia and director of Dars Consulting, during a panel discussion at the  Hospitality Investment Forum (HIF) 2026. The international event  convened over 1,000 participants from more than 28 countries.

ArmInfo.  In 2025, Armenia welcomed 2.3 million tourists, while taking into account the government's annual budget for tourism development, the state spends only $1.77 per international visitor. Takuya Aoyama, renowned  international hotel and investment expert, made this statement during  a panel discussion at the Hospitality Investment Forum Yerevan 2026  (HIF).  Comparing Armenia with Azerbaijan, which welcomed 2.5 million  tourists last year, he noted that the government spends $13 per  tourist.

ArmInfo.Legal entities and individuals in Armenia will soon be permitted to extract non-metallic mineral resources that are not included in the state balance sheet, provided the extraction occurs within their own land plots, involves no drilling or blasting, and follows procedures established by the government.
