ArmInfo.  Armenia's largest technology event, DigiTec 2026, is officially scheduled to take place from November 20 to 22, 2026.  The concept and content of DigiTec 2026 will be closely tied to this historic transformation.  The organizers will announce the thematic areas and the lineup of  leading international speakers later.

ArmInfo.  Any action taken by the Armenian government against the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), a company owned by Samvel Karapetyan, including its direct nationalization, would violate the decisions made by the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal in July 2025, as noted in a statement issued by the ENA Control Committee,  following the Armenian government's  announcement that the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal had fully granted  Armenia's motion to bifurcate the proceedings in the arbitration case  of Liormand Holdings Limited and Karapetyans v. Armenia.

This perspective was shared on June 17 by Sergey Stanovkin, head of BBC's commercial offices in Eurasia and director of Dars Consulting, during a panel discussion at the  Hospitality Investment Forum (HIF) 2026. The international event  convened over 1,000 participants from more than 28 countries.

ArmInfo.  In 2025, Armenia welcomed 2.3 million tourists, while taking into account the government's annual budget for tourism development, the state spends only $1.77 per international visitor. Takuya Aoyama, renowned  international hotel and investment expert, made this statement during  a panel discussion at the Hospitality Investment Forum Yerevan 2026  (HIF).  Comparing Armenia with Azerbaijan, which welcomed 2.5 million  tourists last year, he noted that the government spends $13 per  tourist.

ArmInfo. Armenia has decided to tackle the problem of fictitious debt write-offs. The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia is discussing the draft  of the new Bankruptcy Code in its second reading at its regular  session on June 17.

ArmInfo.In 2025, the "Zinap" National Military Insurance Fund recorded the largest positive surplus between its income and expenditures in the organization's history.  Karine Sargsyan, CEO of "Zinap," announced this during an annual press conference while presenting the fund's activity report  and financial results.

ArmInfo. The official opening of the Hospitality Investment Forum Yerevan 2026 (HIF) took place in Yerevan, bringing together over 1,000 participants from more than 28 countries.

ArmInfo. At its plenary session on June 17, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia approved the government's report on the implementation of the 2025 state budget. 57 members voted in favor of approving the document.

ArmInfo.Armenia highly appreciates the support of the European Union (EU), but the country does not intend to redirect its exports from the Russian to the  European market. This was stated by Armenian Minister of Economy  Gevorg Papoyan, amid Russia's restrictions on a number of Armenian  goods and attempts to redirect exports to EU countries.

ArmInfo.Restrictions on Armenian agricultural product supplies are not politically motivated, but rather due to the lack of effective quality control among  producers. Sergei Dankvert, head of Rosselkhoznadzor, explained this  in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) has lowered its 2026 outlook, anticipating a more pronounced deceleration in GDP growth to 4.1–4.5% (compared to the previously projected 4.7–7.1% growth and the actual growth of 7.1% in 2025). Growth rates in 2027 are expected to shift marginally to 3.7–4.7% (down from the previously projected 5.3–5.7%).

ArmInfo.  During a press conference held on June 16, 2026, the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), Martin Galstyan, stated that a hike in natural gas prices is considered highly unlikely.

ArmInfo.  If Armenian producers are unable to reorient their exports to new markets and remain dependent on the Russian market, the excess supply of certain goods could trigger a deflationary effect in Armenia, estimated at  0.6%,  as stated by Central Bank Chairman Martin Galstyan during a  press conference on June 16, when answering journalists' questions.

ArmInfo.  In the near term, the main uncertainties regarding price growth in Armenia are related to the duration of inflationary trends emerging in global food markets, and in this context, to the speed and scale of domestic  price adjustments. This is noted in the rationale for the Central  Bank of Armenia's decision on June 16 to keep the refinancing rate  unchanged at 6.5%.

ArmInfo. The rating agency Moody's Ratings has reaffirmed the B2 credit rating of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) with  a stable outlook, as evidenced by data from Moody's completed regular review of ZCMC's ratings.

ArmInfo.Armenia currently maintains a very strong position in terms of economic attractiveness, as stated Martin Galstyan, Chairman of the Central  Bank of Armenia (CBA), during a parliamentary session on June 16. In  response to inquiries from deputies, he  highlighted the significant  inflow of capital into the country.

ArmInfo.The European Union continues to support nuclear safety in Armenia by providing additional assistance to implement stress test measures. The  alternative water supply equipment, delivered to the Armenian Nuclear  Power Plant (ANPP) by the Slovak company VUEZ as part of an EU-funded  project, has successfully passed factory and site acceptance tests,  confirming its full compliance with technical requirements, as noted  in a statement issued by the Armenian NPP CJSC.
