Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a press-briefing on July 30.
Noting that the opposition is currently actively spreading information about price increases in Armenia, the Prime Minister did not rule out the possibility that what has been free in our country for 30 years will become a paid service. Specifically, he stated, the Republic of Armenia could request $2 billion annually for the lease. When asked whether this was a hint regarding the railway, the head of government remarked that there are no hints in his words, as he is stating clearly that the railway is the property of the Republic of Armenia, and no other options can exist here.
"In any case, we want to resolve this issue amicably, but de jure questions may arise, and if agreement is not reached, we will go to arbitration court and discuss it," the prime minister said.
