ArmInfo.  The arbitration proceedings  regarding the expropriation of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA)  have moved on to considering Armenia's jurisdictional objections. On  June 16, 2026, the arbitral tribunal presiding over the investment  dispute regarding the ENA expropriation issued a procedural order to  bifurcate the proceedings into two separate stages. This was  announced in a statement released on behalf of the legal team for  "Liormand Holdings Limited," a shareholder of ENA.

ArmInfo.  Any action taken by the Armenian government against the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), a company owned by Samvel Karapetyan, including its direct nationalization, would violate the decisions made by the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal in July 2025, as noted in a statement issued by the ENA Control Committee,  following the Armenian government's  announcement that the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal had fully granted  Armenia's motion to bifurcate the proceedings in the arbitration case  of Liormand Holdings Limited and Karapetyans v. Armenia.

ArmInfo.  In 2025, Armenia welcomed 2.3 million tourists, while taking into account the government's annual budget for tourism development, the state spends only $1.77 per international visitor. Takuya Aoyama, renowned  international hotel and investment expert, made this statement during  a panel discussion at the Hospitality Investment Forum Yerevan 2026  (HIF).  Comparing Armenia with Azerbaijan, which welcomed 2.5 million  tourists last year, he noted that the government spends $13 per  tourist.

During a plenary session on June 17, the RA NA discussed, in the first reading, amendments to the law "On  Food Safety" and a package of related documents proposed by the  government.

ArmInfo.In 2025, the "Zinap" National Military Insurance Fund recorded the largest positive surplus between its income and expenditures in the organization's history.  Karine Sargsyan, CEO of "Zinap," announced this during an annual press conference while presenting the fund's activity report  and financial results.

ArmInfo.Legal entities and individuals in Armenia will soon be permitted to extract non-metallic mineral resources that are not included in the state balance sheet, provided the extraction occurs within their own land plots, involves no drilling or blasting, and follows procedures established by the government.

ArmInfo. At its plenary session on June 17, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia approved the government's report on the implementation of the 2025 state budget. 57 members voted in favor of approving the document.

This was stated by Armenian Minister of Economy  Gevorg Papoyan, amid Russia's restrictions on a number of Armenian  goods and attempts to redirect exports to EU countries.
